Since past few weeks I’ve been playing with my new email marketing campaign. Being new to this field, I didn’t know much about how can I get started, but of course I have some ideas that can work out.
The first thing that came in my mind was to collect targeted emails of people who actively check their email account. I know, collecting such emails is not easy, but when you have some basic ideas, it’ll not be so difficult.
Using a basic idea, I’ve collected over 550 emails of the people who are interested in my blog’s niche, make money online.
How?
Well, it even didn’t took me 30 minutes to get those email list, and it’s so simple.
How I collected 550+ emails of targeted people
I have a PayPal account which I used to receive payments from the buyers of my eBook. As the eBook is related to Make Money Online then there is no far doubt that the buyers are interested to make money online too.
I received payment from those who purchased the eBook, transaction is completed – now, is everything over?
NO. There’s a chance to covert the previous buyers into another buyers of your next product. Just collect their email address and send them email together when you have product to promote!
My first eBook successfully sold over 550 times and I collected all their contact details including names and emails. And now I have over 550 highly targeted email address of people who actively use their email account!
Now, if you ever had sold any product with a bit success before then you can create a good targeted list too.
You just have to:
- Filter the transaction of your product that has got good number of sales
- Collect names and emails of buyers
- Recommend them the new or affiliate product
- Watch your sales increasing!
First you must have sold any product or service. It could be anything. The main point here is to get email from buyers. So, it doesn’t work if you haven’t offered any product or service.
If you had a good success selling any product or service then you can create targeted email list instantly!
In my case, I collected those emails from PayPal as whole transaction was done through it. You may think it’ll be little difficult to get all these emails at one place and take a lot of time, but it doesn’t!
There’s a option in PayPal with which you can download all of the transaction history at once, and you can upload the email list in your email marketing tool.
How to collect email from your PayPal account
Login to your PayPal account and mouse over to History tab and click Download History on the main menu. You’ll be taken to a page where you’ll get an option to choose the custom date range. Use the date range ‘from’ and ‘to’ when you sold your product. From the ‘File Types for Download’ option choose ‘Comma Delimited – Completed Payments’ from the drop down. Click ‘Download History’ button.
Upload the downloaded list into your email marketing tool. Now you’ve a decent list of highly targeted buyers who are most likely to buy the product you recommend to them!
Bonus Tips
- Send a introductory email to the whole list of people to let them know that they’re your previous buyer and you collected their email to provide ‘special’ offers in future.
- You need be in touch with them so keep sending them email which something special offer from which they can actually get benefit. Make sure you don’t send them a crap.
- Establish a good relation which them by answering their quires. When you build enough trust, you can start promoting affiliate or your own product.

I knew that this was coming but are you using aweber and does aweber allow that. Secondly why aren’t you using your link building technique for your own blog
Currently, I’m using MailChimp and yes it does allow us to import the email list, but we need to grant permission from them.
Now, I’ve just started list building campaign through this blog as you can see new shinny little subscription box (at the top sidebar). You’ll receive a free guide to make money online as a gift

It’s always good to build a buyers list. To improve your process a little, put a sign-up form on your thank you page to collect new buyers automatically at the point the transaction is completed.
